I wanted to meet Carolyn Finzer since the first day I saw her watering flowers at the post office. Eventually, I met her and she invited me to her home and gave me a tour of her garden.

Growing up in Naperville, it was a real treat when Carolyn Finzer showed up at a school or town event. She always looked like a real life garden fairy, complete with wings and flowers in her hair. Definitely one of the suburban women who stayed true to themselves. Living in Lincoln Park now with my husband, fastly approaching the day we have to make a choice and move to maybe (gasp!) the 'burbs, Carolyn Finzer will be my inspiration for not following the pack!
